The American Health Foundation offers a wide array of programs in mental health, healthcare education, and holistic health aimed at preventing lifestyle-based illnesses, diseases, and the frailties of aging.

FOSTERING A NEW APPROACH TO AGING...The American Health Foundation is a unique non-profit organization designed to help you approach aging in a new and better way. We encourage you to take charge of your health protocol by taking proactive, preventative steps, combining the best of East/West therapies in a healthier model. We aim to improve the quality and longevity of life.

As a culture, we collapse into aging by default, often with negative consequences through years of neglect, misinformation, failed-aging education, and usurpation of the aging process by greed and youth hyperification by Hollywood, Madison Avenue, and a mass media that vilifies aging as a near- death experience.

The American Health Foundation is dedicated to combining the rigors of science with the power of the mind and spirit. Read more in the section "About Us" to learn about our mission, our vision, and our Prevention Model for healthy aging. Understanding the aging process, including the variables that affect aging, is important to improving the quality and longevity of life. At the American Health Foundation, we help guide you to understand, process, and put into practice a healthy aging lifestyle.

PROVIDING MULTIPLE PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT YOU...We currently offer five major programs to help you transition to a preventative aging model. You can read details about them in our section on "Foundation Projects." The American Volunteer Corps consists of individuals trained for volunteer and internship positions in a myriad of healing and helping disciplines. The Lifelong Learning Foundation provides courses that draw on the wisdom and experience of professionals and peers alike on topics such as "Understanding the Emotions of Grief." The Center for Healthy Aging offers support groups that meet weekly, educational courses, and a host of outreach programs. The Mental Health Foundation concentrates on outplacement mental health services that include resocialization, reskilling, job coaching and placement, housing, and social services. The last major project is the Center for Healthcare Management. This component addresses the need for initiating and managing corporate health interventions in order to improve employee well-being and morale.

ENCOURAGING YOU TO JOIN US....We invite you to take advantage of the programs we offer. We hope you will help us create a new model for "age-change." in which we look for new opportunities and possibilities for healthy aging. Through the efforts of the American Health Foundation, you can make a difference in your community and in your own health. Join today.
